Marketplace contributor terms

Version 2026-10-05 · last updated 5 October 2026 · PLM CAD Utilities AS

These terms apply when you submit a package of knowledge articles or skills to the SphereHarness marketplace. You accept them by ticking the box when you submit, and the version you accepted is recorded with your submission. They add to the End User Licence Agreement (section 13a) and the community rules; where they differ for a submission, these terms apply to it.

1. What you confirm

  • You wrote the content, or you have the right to publish it and to license it as you choose below.
  • It does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trade mark, trade secret or other right, and publishing it does not break an agreement you are bound by, such as an employment contract or a confidentiality agreement.
  • It contains no personal data of other people, no passwords, keys, tokens or other credentials, nothing confidential to a third party, and nothing export-controlled or subject to sanctions.
  • It is not designed to make the software or an AI model act against the person using it — for example by hiding what it does, sending data elsewhere, or getting round an approval.

2. The licence you grant to users

Everyone who installs a version of your package receives it under the licence you chose for that version: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) or the MIT License. That licence cannot be withdrawn for a version someone has already received; withdrawing your package stops new installations only.

3. The licence you grant to us

You keep ownership of your content. You grant PLM CAD Utilities AS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, scan, review, display, sign and distribute it through the SphereHarness website, the content catalogue and the desktop agent, for as long as it is listed, and to keep copies afterwards as far as we need them for our records, to handle reports and legal notices, and to meet our legal obligations.

4. Review, refusal and removal

  • Every version is scanned automatically and reviewed by a SphereHarness website administrator before it is listed. We decide whether to list it, and we may refuse it without giving detailed reasons.
  • We may block, hide or withdraw a package at any time if it breaks these terms or the community rules, after a notice of infringement or other legal notice, or if it puts users, our service or a third party at risk. People who installed it are told and offered to remove it; we do not delete their copies.
  • Review is a check for obvious problems, not a warranty. We do not confirm that a package is correct, safe or fit for any purpose, and you remain responsible for what you publish.

5. Takedown notices

If we receive a notice that your package infringes someone’s rights, we may block it while we look into it, and we will send you the notice. You may answer with a counter-notice, and we will decide whether to restore the package. You will cooperate with us in handling such a notice. Rights holders send notices with the takedown form.

6. Your name and our records

Your package is published under your public name (the name you use in the forum), never your e-mail address. Each published version carries our server’s signature, which includes your account’s internal number; copies that have already been installed keep it. What we store and for how long is in the privacy policy.

7. No payment

The marketplace has no prices or payments. You receive no fee for a package, and users pay nothing for it.

8. Your responsibility

You are responsible to us for claims made against us because your content broke these terms, as section 16 of the End User Licence Agreement describes. Where you are a consumer, mandatory law limits this in the ways it requires.
