Becoming a reseller
How a company becomes a SphereHarness reseller: you apply on the website, we review it, you sign the reseller agreement in the browser, and your reseller account is created the moment you sign.
How it works
You apply. Fill in the form on Become a Reseller. You get a confirmation email straight away and our team is notified.
We review. A member of the SphereHarness team reads the application and either approves it or replies with a reason.
You sign the agreement. An approval emails you a private link to your reseller agreement, filled in with your company's details. You read it and sign it in the browser.
Your account is created. Signing creates your reseller company and your administrator account, and emails you a link to set a password. From there you invite the rest of your team and start placing orders.
Those four steps are the How it works panel on the application page, so what you read here and what you read there are the same thing.
The application form
Become a SphereHarness reseller, under Reseller application, asks for:
| About the company | About you | About the business |
|---|---|---|
|
Company name Company registration number Country Registered address Website |
Full name Job title Work email Phone |
CAD systems you resell Seats you expect to sell in the first year Anything else we should know |
Press Send application. You will see a thank-you page and receive “We received your reseller application” by email at the address you gave. Use a work email you control: the agreement link goes there, and signing it is what proves the address is yours.
The agreement
An approval emails you “Your SphereHarness reseller agreement is ready to sign” with a private link. The link is unguessable and is the only way to that page — there is nothing to sign in to, and an address that is not a live agreement simply does not exist.
The agreement is between PLM CAD UTILITIES AS and your company, with your company name, registration number, address, territory and discount already filled in. Read those two in particular: they are what the reviewing administrator agreed with you, written into the text.
Signing it
Under Sign this agreement, give Your full name and Your job title, tick “I am authorised to sign this agreement on behalf of <your company>, and I accept it in full”, and press Sign the agreement. All three are required: a name, a title, and the tick.
At the bottom of the text, before and after signing, is a Document fingerprint (SHA-256 of the exact text above). It is computed from the agreement's own text, not from how the page happens to look, so re-rendering it — a different font, a new stylesheet — cannot move it. The fingerprint you see before you sign is the one stored afterwards.
The signature record
Signing replaces the form with a Signature record and keeps it there:
- Signed by and Title — what you typed.
- Authority confirmed — the tick.
- Signed at (UTC), IP address — when and from where.
- Text fingerprint — the SHA-256 of the exact text you signed.
You can only sign once. Opening the link again shows the record with no form at all. The signed text is stored next to its fingerprint, so years later the copy can be reproduced and the fingerprint recomputed from nothing but the stored text.
The effective date in the agreement is the day it was issued to you, not the day you happen to open it — so the text you read yesterday is byte-for-byte the text you sign today.
What happens after you sign
- Your reseller company is created, with you as its administrator.
- You are emailed “Set your password — SphereHarness reseller portal”. Follow it, choose a password, and sign in at /reseller/login.
- If the address you used already had a SphereHarness account, it is reused, never duplicated — you are told to sign in with the password you already have.
- From the reseller portal you invite your colleagues, place licence orders for your customers, and answer their support requests. See Reseller Portal.
If the application is rejected
You get an email with the reviewer's reason in it, in their own words. It is not a form letter and it usually says what would change the answer. Replying to it is the right next step.
Reviewing applications Website admin
Applications arrive in the admin portal under Reseller Applications, filtered by All / New / Approved / Signed / Rejected. Every website administrator is emailed and notified in the portal when one arrives, and again at every step after it.
Details opens one application with its Timeline — applied, approved, signed or rejected, with dates. From there:
- Approve asks for the Territory (the applicant's country by default) and the Reseller discount, then Approve & send agreement writes both into the agreement and emails the link. Approving twice, or using Resend link, reuses the same agreement — two live links for one application can never exist.
- Reject takes a reason and Reject & email the reason sends it to the applicant verbatim. Rejecting after an approval also voids the agreement that was sent.
- Download signed copy (HTML / print) reproduces the exact text that was signed, together with the signature record, for your own files.
